Hiring for a Maintenance ElectricianPay: 35+/hrJob DescriptionAs a Maintenance Electrician at our steel mill, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance repairs and troubleshooting tasks. This role requires close collaboration with the engineering team on up fitting projects and adherence to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and productive environment.Responsibilities
Troubleshoot control panels, conveyor systems, pumps, sensors, relays, circuits, and mixing equipment.
Diagnose and maintain the furnace and accessory equipment for forging metal.
Perform major electrical troubleshooting, including diagnosing faults with a multimeter, reading schematics, and hooking up motors.
Conduct fault analysis of circuits, install sensors, and PLC cabinets.
Assist with minor fabrication of equipment, including tack welding of small parts to support mechanics.
Collaborate with the engineering team on up fitting projects.
Troubleshoot PLC systems and sensory equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Essential Skills
Expertise in electrical troubleshooting and wiring schematics.
Experience with automation and Allen Bradley PLC systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing issues using blueprints and schematics.
Skilled in working with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, motors, control panels, sensors, and relays.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems.
